On Site / Beckenham Defect Inspection

Just checking in to show you Amy Childs recent visit to a residential block of flats in Beckenham to carry out a defect inspection of the basement level lift pit and plant room that is susceptible to flooding.
 
We had to review the complex Mechanical and electrical equipment that included the lift motors and the incoming power that is currently located in there and inspect the current and historical damage that has indicated that the area has seen up to 1m worth of water pooling from an unknown source.

We are now creating a specification of works to strip the room out, working alongside a mechanical and electrical engineer so that the plant equipment can be removed from the walls and floor whilst kept in operation so that we can fully tank the room before completing the reinstatement.

A temporary measure has been installed by means of a pump that will kick in should there be any sign of pooling water but this is not a long term solution and due to the expensive and complex equipment currently in the plant room, a long term solution to resolve the issue is required.
